March is a month that symbolizes new beginnings. We move from one season to another and of course, here in southern middle Tennessee, that means one day it is warm the next is cold and everything is blooming. We watch as the trees change from their fall colors of browns and yellows to a vibrant green. One beauty to another for sure. We go back to daylight savings time, and we get the opportunity to enjoy long evenings enjoying the warmth and the beauty of the outdoors. Maybe we will sit on the porch with a glass of sweet tea or maybe we will go for a stroll. One thing for sure is we enjoy going into this change of season and we give thanks to God for all the beauty and wonder it brings.
This month of March with all the change and beauty it brings should remind us of the great love that God has for us. You see, it is through God’s grace that we can have a great and beautiful change in our lives. When we confess with our lips Jesus is Lord and we believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, the Bible tells us we will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
How wonderful it is to know that through this unmerited favor called grace, that God has given us the opportunity for salvation. Nothing we have done can save us. It is a gift from God that brings a transformation to a new creation. (Ephesians 2:8-9) God is a God of promises and is faithful to us in every way. God tells us that through our faith in Jesus we will be saved and receive the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38)
Take the time to see the beauty that comes with the changes of the season and time this March. Also, take the time to thank God for the changes in our own lives through our faith in Jesus as our Savior. We are a new creation in Christ!! The old has passed away!! Thank you, Jesus!!
