We invite you to a warm and loving atmosphere where we
Worship together, Fellowship together and Grow together in our journey as Christ’s Disciples.

For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Galatians 5:13
We are truly blessed by God for in his goodness we are citizens of the greatest nation on earth. We have many freedoms that others do not have in their countries. This freedom that we have did come at a very high cost. Many men and women served and are serving this country proudly and protected and still protect these freedoms. The fact is that many incredibly selfless and honorable people gave their lives that we might live in this great country as free people. This summer month we call July is the month we celebrate Independence Day. On a day that many times we get caught up in the celebration of getting together with family and friends to grill hotdogs and hamburgers and watch a fireworks show and we are just glad we got a day off from work. We forget that this celebration is about independence. We forget this celebration is about freedom. We forget that this celebration is about the brave men and women who fought and many who gave their very lives that we could live in this freedom. Remember the sacrifice of others for us to have this freedom.
These brave men and women are a great example of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We celebrate our freedom on the 4th, but we have a greater freedom given to us through God’s grace. A freedom that is the most important freedom we could ever have in this life and ever after. We are saved by grace through our faith in Christ and Christ alone and this is true freedom. Freedom from sin and death. A freedom that leads us to repentance and belief. A freedom that leads us to eternity. So, as we celebrate our Independence Day by remembering the sacrifice of our fellow man for our freedoms, let us be ever mindful of the greatest sacrifice of all: our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who died for our sins and was raised for our eternal life. We have freedom. Praise, honor, and glory to God.
Blessings, Pastor Shedd
