We invite you to a warm and loving atmosphere where we
Worship together, Fellowship together and Grow together in our journey as Christ’s Disciples.

A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold. Proverbs 22:1
We all have heard it said before: I DO NOT CARE WHAT THEY THINK ABOUT ME. Well, as a follower of Jesus Christ, I do believe we all should care what people think about us as believers. Understand, you may not like my choice of clothes, my car, my house, and you may even laugh at my bank account. None of these things matter to me. To be honest, these things are mine and my wife’s business. If we are okay with these things, then who is someone else to tell us about these things.
What I am saying is that as followers of Jesus Christ we should care about what people think of us as believers. I am talking about the fruits of the Spirit they see in us. (Galatians 5:22-23) The Bible tells us the fruits of the Spirit are how we will be known. (Matthew 7:16-20) I care as to whether someone sees me as a follower of my Lord and Savior. I do not think care if someone does not like my physical appearance or any of the material things of my life, but I do care about how they see my character and my faith in Christ and Christ alone. I never want to be a stumbling block for anyone concerning the Gospel. (Romans 14:13) I want a good name not for my own sake, but for the glorification of God.
Remember, we were bought at a great cost. Christ died for us while we were still sinners and that proves God’s love for us. Now let us be seen as those who live our lives worthy of the Gospel. Let us help people see our lights shine and give us a good name for the glory of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Blessings, Pastor Shedd
